How to view Instagram without an account or the app
A public profile and its posts open in a browser without logging in. Live stories and the Reels feed didn't. What we saw logged out, and Instagram's embed option.
How to download your Instagram data
Export a copy of your photos, videos and messages from Accounts Center. The steps, HTML or JSON, why it can take up to 30 days, and the 4-day download window.
Why are my Instagram videos blurry?
Some blur you can fix with one setting and the right export. Some you can't: Instagram moves videos nobody is watching to lower quality.
Instagram photo and video sizes in 2026
Instagram's own numbers: 1080 px wide, ratios from 1.91:1 to 3:4 for photos and up to 9:16 for Reels, 20 items per carousel. Official specs versus convention.
What is Close Friends on Instagram?
Close Friends limits a story, post, Reel or note to a list you pick. Nobody is notified when added or removed, but people on the list can tell. How it works.
How long do Instagram stories last?
24 hours on your profile, 48 hours of viewer list, two years of insights, and as long as you like in your archive or highlights. Every story time limit, sourced.
Do Instagram story viewers appear in order?
Instagram explained the viewer list once, in 2018: the top isn't who stalks you most. What's on record, the 50-viewer rule, and what Instagram Plus changed.
Can you view a private Instagram account?
Not without being an approved follower. What a private profile shows to anyone, what it hides, how private viewer sites make money, and the one real leak.
How to tell if someone blocked you on Instagram
Instagram never tells you that you've been blocked, and a block can look like a deactivated account. Checks that tell them apart, and signs that mean nothing.
Can you see who viewed your Instagram Reel?
No. Reel insights give counts, not names, including the confusingly named Viewers metric. What you can see, who can see your likes, and what a view counts.
Does Instagram notify when you screenshot?
Stories, posts and Reels don't notify anyone. View-once photos in DMs can't be screenshotted at all now, and vanish mode can still tell the sender.
How to download Instagram Reels
Instagram has its own Download button for public Reels, with a watermark. Why it is sometimes missing, what happens to the music, and other ways to save a Reel.
Does Instagram have profile views?
Instagram counts profile visits but never shows who made them, on any account. Where the count lives, what does give you away, and where the 14-day rumor began.
How to view Instagram stories anonymously
Every story view is listed for 48 hours. What works in 2026: Instagram Plus previews, viewer sites for public accounts, and why airplane mode is a gamble.
